Want to have a dinosaur at home? Or at least part of a dinosaur?

It’s now possible to become a pet owner from Bonhams latest auction. Exactly what is being sold? A woolly Rhinoceros skeleton, a Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth – and a stegodon skull are up for grabs.

It’s estimated to sell for $200 000 or more. This Bonham auction are to be held in New York on Thursday.

Auction site Bido, focused on domains, is now closing the door. despite their best efforts, the revenues needed to keep the venture going never materialized. It’s sad to see their hard work and investment go down the drain but it happens to just about every entrepreneur at one time or another along the way.

Too many domain name auctions?
Since Bido debuted, the number of competing auction services exploded at the same time buyers became more conservative in of the worst recessions of the past century. That is a tough environment to get a start up off the ground, especially with strongly focused competitors with way more profitable business model. For instance, SnapNames has their domain drops service. So either become nr 1 in the field or make sure to have a few nice money making sectors of your business while building up a new field.

It’s as clear as the mid-day sun. The Nexus One is the newest sensation in the mobile world today. Everybody is excited over this Google phone that many people want to have one. But wait, this phone is not very friendly on the pocket – it’s priced from $2,400 to$3,800 for unlimited usage plans. So what to do to get yourself a Nexus without spending so much money? You bid on Nexus One over those online auction sites.

You are sure familiar with Ebay, Amazon and Auction.com where you can find and bid on an array of new and used products at exceptionally low prices. You just go to these sites and search for Nexus One units that are available for bidding. Not all bidders on these sites, though, ended up triumphant. In fact, some even lose large sums of money without receiving the items that they have paid for. That is scamming, yes. And they abound on sites like these so you have to be careful.

What you need to do is to familiarize yourself on the process so that when you bid on Nexus One phones, you emerged as a triumphant bidder. Make sure to read everything that is stated on the bidding page including the product descriptions, the shipping details and payment. Never hesitate to ask the seller if you have any question about the product. Also, don’t trust just any other seller. Check their feedbacks to see if they can be trusted.

Don’t bid on the first unit that you’ve come across. There are hundreds of units available for bidding on a single site alone. Look for several units and compare them to see which among them offer you a great deal.  When you have already placed your bid, be sure to check the bidding page once in a while to see if you are winning.

Remember that if you are not in dire need for a Nexus One and the bidding has gone beyond your budget, better let it pass. Look for another auction. There will still be a lot available out there so you don’t have to spend outrageous amounts just to have a Nexus One.
